Davis Memories Collage - Artist Request for Qualification
We are looking for an artist based in the Davis area with experience in collaging, to design an original digital collage from community sourced photos, that will then be installed on the Moo-vin' Moo-seum as our next interior installation.
Compensation:
The selected artist will receive a $3,000 stipend. 20% will be paid after the artist is selected, 30% will be paid in the middle of the production process and the final 50% will be paid after the final design is submitted.
Scope of work:
The total area of the collage is 4950 square inches, and must be designed to fit on two (2) 135"x11" sized panels, and two (2) 90"x11" sized panels.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be 18+ years old and have either lived, worked or studied in Davis for 2 years minimum. Selected artists must be available to create the collage during February - March.
The deadline to apply is December 6th, by 11:59pm.
Schedule
December 6th, 11:59pm -> Deadline for artists to submit RFQ
Late December -> Artist selected
January -> Photos collected from community members
Mid March -> Final designs for collage are submitted
Late March -> Collage printed and installed on the ASUCD Moo-vin' Moo-seum.

Applications should include:
Four images of previous work
- Images should be relevant to the project, and include at least one previous collage project (scrapbooking ok).
- Each image should be a separate .jpg or .png, and all images should be uploaded as one zipped file. Learn how to zip a file here.
Art Resume
- No more than two pages describing artistic resume and describing relevant experience.
Two References
- The contact information of two professional references who can speak to your ability as an artist.
